Ukrainian-born Oleksandr Shpak is one of the three leading figures of the Berlin Ballet Company, both artistically and organizationally. He began dancing as a child and completed his training at the Academy in Perm and the renowned John Cranko School in Stuttgart. He then danced for sixteen seasons with the Staatsballett Berlin, where he soon achieved the rank of demi-soloist and worked with significant choreographers of our time. Even during his active time on stage, Oleksandr continued his education in the field of cultural management, founding the production company Ballet Entertainment in 2017 with his colleagues Alexander Abdukarimov and Arshak Ghalumyan and finally the Berlin Ballet Company in 2023. Oleksandr acts as a driving force within the Berlin Ballet Company, initiating new projects with his creative ideas and being actively involved in their artistic development.
